WHAT IS THE BLACK HAIR EXPERIENCE?
The Black Hair Experience is a interactive selfie museum filled with a collection of art installations (photo-worthy spaces) centered around nostalgic moments/experiences relating to black hair + culture. Inside the experience, you’ll see a variety of spaces to explore, celebrate, and make new memories. We produce events and activations both inside and outside of our space.
I SEE YOU HAVE MULTIPLE LOCATIONS, ARE THEY ALL THE SAME?
NO, each of our locations offer different backdrops so we encourage you to visit them all.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
Your smile, a charged cell phone (for all of those photos and videos you will be taking), and an official photo ID.
IS THE TOUR SELF-GUIDED?
The Black Hair Experience is a self paced experience allowing guests to take time taking in the experience. We won't leave young hanging though #TeamTBHE will also be there to guide you along the way for added fun.
WHEN DO I NEED TO ARRIVE?
Please arrive 15 minutes before your ticketed time slot. Note your ticket is only valid for the date and time purchased. If you miss your time slot, please use the re-book/reschedule link in your original booking confirmation email.

TICKETS ARE SOLD OUT – HOW CAN I VISIT?
Please sign up for our newsletter for updates about future TBHE locations. Please note that ticket purchases on third party sites are not allowed. IDs will be checked to match tickets to ensure that tickets are not sold on third party websites.
DO YOU ACCEPT CASH?
We are cashless! We do however onsite we do accept Apple Pay in addition to credit and debit cards!
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO VISIT THE BLACK HAIR EXPERIENCE?
TBHE is designed to take around an hour.
IS THERE A MINIMUM AGE TO ATTEND?
TBHE guests must be 18 and older. Guest ages 5 an up are permitted with an adult 25 and older. All guests must purchase a ticket for admission.
WHAT IF I LOSE SOMETHING?
The Black Hair Experience is an interactive experience so please hold onto your belongings as we’re not responsible for any lost items. While we cannot guarantee that lost items will be found immediately we do have a Lost & Found that works hard to locate missing things.

Ticketing & Admission
WHERE DO I GET TICKETS?
Here, on our ticket site! Purchases are made by date and time slot.
CAN I REFUND OR EXCHANGE MY TICKET?
Unfortunatley, tickets are nonrefundable/non-transferrable.
ARE TICKETS AVAILABLE AT THE DOOR?
Potentially, if there are tickets remaining in a timeslot you will be able to buy your ticket at the door.
Accessibility
IS THE MUSEUM WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE?
Unfortunately, we are not wheelchair accessible at this time.
IS THERE PARKING?
Parking is limited on site and we suggest ride sharing to the event.
ARE ANIMALS ALLOWED AT THE EXPERIENCE?
Unfortunately, we do not allow any animals of any kind.

WHAT IF I’M LATE?
If you miss your time slot please use the re-book/reschedule link in your booking confirmation to reschedule your tickets.
IS PHOTOGRAPHY ALLOWED?
Photography is def allowed and encouraged! Commercial or product shoots, press interviews, media shoots, and all professional video equipment is prohibited without advance approval and accompaniment from a TBHE representative. Contact Us for requests.
ARE PETS ALLOWED IN THE MUSEUM?
Animals are not permitted at The Black Hair Experience.
DO YOU HAVE GIFT CARDS?
Currently there are no gift cards available, but contact us at HERE if you’re looking to do something special for someone.
